MOUNTAIN RESCUE IN EMERGENCY
We
are a trusted Mountain Rescue Team
In Mountain we do varies of activities like Trekking ‘n’
Hiking, Mountain Climbing, Rock-climbing and and all kinds
of mountain activities. And mountain environments include
alpine, mountain and relevant areas.
Dhauladhar Mountain Rescue Team would probably
be responding to the calls of lost of injured walkers, rescuing
climbers ore generally dealing with incidents in the mountains.
Though this may be true it is a very small part of this team.
The Dhauladhar Mountain Rescue Team’s aims are to relieve
and distress amongst persons affected by accident and /or
natural hazard.
Mission of the Team
Providing
with assistance to anyone who lost injured in the mountains
of Kangra Valley for whatever Season ‘or’ Reason
as well supplying the community with industrial mountaineering
service. Our organization have 20 trained mountaineers who
operates all year round, 7 x 24 hours with full power.
Search and rescue work can be started within 6-10 hours after
receiving the message at day time and during 10-12 hrs after
receiving the message at night time.
Specifically we:
• Provide Search ‘n’ Rescue
and first aid facilities, equipment and manpower within our
operating area in times of need or natural disaster.
• Provide, encourage and promote safe and proper training
in mountain walking, rocks climbing as well as other outdoor
activities.
• Provide association to the persons who interested
in mountain rescue often by providing training to such persons
in the skills of mountain rescue.
Therefore, the Dhauladhar mountains rescue team
can, and indeed is, called upon to deal with a wide range
of incidents via administration of the district Kangra and
semi rural areas in Kangra Valley assisting people from all
walks of life not just the injured people participating in
outdoor activities.
The Dhauladhar Mountain Rescue team is a Voluntary (of course,
you have to pay for the food , porters & transportation)
it gets no statutory funding or grants from anywhere and all
Members are volunteers providing their services to keep the
Team operational. |
